PCDA FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions:
What is the PCDA?
The Pacific Centre for Discipleship Association (PCDA) is the B.C. Society formed in 1986, as a registered charity Inter-Mennonite society which seeks to provide supportive Christian communities for university and college students. More about our history is here. We are a registered charity with the Canada Revenue Agency, able to issue charitable donation receipts under charity number 107810129RR0001.
Who are Mennonites?
Believers in the Anabaptist Christian tradition of Menno Simons are known as Mennonites. Mennonites are also identified with various Dutch, Swiss, German and Russian ethnic groups, but their dispersion and evangelism around the world have made a majority of Mennonites identified as such because of their faith, not their ethnicity.
Is the PCDA an affiliate of the Mennonite Conferences?
The PCDA draws from both Mennonite Conferences, but we are not formally affiliated with either one.
