JOIN OUR TEAM! The Director of Student Life plays a key role in creating an intentional Christian community for more than 100 student residents at Pax House. This position is responsible for planning, promoting, and executing spiritual development initiatives, encouraging community involvement, providing leadership training, and offering student support. The Director also supervises and advises Resident Assistants (RAs) with a focus on empowering and guiding these individuals as they implement initiatives aimed at strengthening community engagement and helping students successfully navigate life within a communal environment. The desired start date for this position is April 2026.

Join us on Zoom on Thursday, October 27th at 7:30 p.m. to discuss what living, eating, studying, praying, and serving together could look like at our upcoming student residence at UBC: Menno Hall. We want to collaborate on generating and refining ideas for aspects of the intentional community that we’ll create for a student body of over 100 people. This is an invitation for our supporters, alumni, and anyone else who is interested to help us clarify our vision for what student life will look like in our new building.

Breaking news: the Menno Hall project’s rezoning public consultation stage has begun!

Rezoning signIt’s been two years since the Menno Simons Centre closed, and we are now very excited to share our vision for a new Menno Hall student residence project at the gateway of UBC in the University Endowment Lands (UEL) since our rezoning application has been accepted.

Register with Zoom to join us for an Information Session at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022. The agenda will be:

  • Presentation of some of the architectural materials that will be on display at the Public Open House event being scheduled for the beginning of June
  • Q&A time with the project development team.

The UEL’s public consultation period will run from mid-May through mid-June, so we want to inform you about what we’re proposing and how you can help.
